American Girl store here we come...

So, I'm not sure who thought of it first, but Hayden and I decided that it would be the funnest b-day ever for the 2 of us to fly to Chicago and go to the American Girl Store. (right in my dreams) I mentioned it to Jared and he actually went for it, so we nervously watched flights and we got to go YEAH!!! We left on Monday, spent Tuesday at THE STORE (seriously we were there for over 6 hours), and came home on Wednesday. It was tons of fun and definitely a b-day she better NEVER forget!

Waiting ever so patiently a the SLC Airport. We didn't make the first flight, but luckily we got on the next one... the joys of flying stand by!!!

Finally we were there! It was so fun to see all of the dolls and all of their STUFF! Or course Hayden loved Kit's the most!!!

My Little Cover Girl!!!

Hayden decided that Kit needed a little bro just like her. She considered naming him Chris for about 30 min, then decided to name him Jason. (Troy was also considered!)

Can you say SPOILED!

Our birthday lunch at the American Girl Cafe was lots of fun. It was pink everywhere. They had the cutest chairs for the dolls and Hayden got her very own birthday cake with candles and all. She was soo excited, she forgot to make a wish, but I'm sure all of her wishes came true for this b-day!!
I told Hayden we could eat where ever she wanted... and would you guess McD's was her #1 choice. It was about 2 blocks from our hotel and was pretty dang cool for McDonalds. It was called the Rock and Roll McDonalds. It was 2 stories with an escalator and everything. Upstairs they had memorabilia from the past 50 years. Of course my fav was the 80's... they had it all from the original Nintendo and game boy to the My Little Ponies, Cabbage Patch Kids and even some Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. They even had the good old block cell phone I remember my dad having. Good times!!!

Hayden thought the subway was lots of fun. I think she's a little city girl!!!

We had so much fun and Jared and the boys even had a good time at home. Bryce was sad he didn't get to go. I told him that he could go somewhere special for his 8th b-day and he's trying to decide between the American Girl store (but he would get a "son" doll) or maybe Stokes (the local grocery store)!! What a crazy boy!!!
