Sharkboy!

Hayden did Bryce's hair today. He loved it cause he thought he looked like Sharkboy! He wanted Hayden to be Lavagirl. (She used lots of gel and it stayed all day long even survived playing outside!)

I'm ready for some warm weather!

Well I truely am missing the Texas winter. This snow is killing me! (literally-last week my entire upper body was soooo soar from shoveling. ) The worst has been that I have gotten stuck TWICE in the last week. Okay so maybe it is the driver just a bit, but come on! When there is this much snow on the ground what do you expect! (This is the kind of snow I remeber from when I was little. I will have to take some picts of the snow piles in the front yard.) The funniest was that I was taking Hayden to a birthday party the first time I got stuck and I started "talking" to my self saying "You have got to be kidding me!" and it was a good thing that is all I said because Bryce was paying attention and he kept laughing and asking when they were going to stop tricking us as they were pushing us out of the snow! It just goes to show "their ears actually do work"! I will try to be more regular about posting, I am now done with my orientation and don't have to work again until NEXT Saturday! Wooo- Hooo! I'm not sure who is more excited, me or Jared. I miss you all and will try to stay in touch better!!!

Let's get caught up, I'll start with the move!!

(Bye-Bye Texas!!! Picture taken June 2006)

We left our Texas house (or the house without stairs, as the kids refer to it) on Monday November 26th 2007 at about 8:30 pm and drove until 1am. I was SOOOO tired! Then we drove for the next 2 days from about 9:30am till 10:30 pm. It was a very long drive, but the kids did amazingly well. They are such great troupers and it's a good thing they like to watch TV. Here are some memorable picts from the trip.

Chris was a great packer!

Taking a drink break on the Fire Truck- loading is tough work! (Bryce and Bryton)

Jared you could probally fit a few more boxes on top!!!

This broke my heart! We were all packed, the house was empty, and it was time to leave. Hayden started crying, ran in the house and was sitting in the living room corner just sobbing saying she didn't want to go. Of couse, then I started to cry too, because I knew exactly how she felt. Change is hard, but it always seems to work out!

Hayden did cheer up and was excited to be out on an Adventure heading to her new home!
(Hayden, Grandma Nae, Jared, and Grandpa Kent)

My dad met us in Dallas for breakfast and he got to meet his name sake Christopher Neil. It was great to see him and the kids were all excited.

Christopher playing "peak a boo" half way through the 3rd day of driving. What a good boy!!

Bryce got some beading done between movies!

The morning after we got to Idaho, the kids had to go right out and play in the snow.
Can you say "Burrrrr Cold when you don't own mittens"!!!
